Sega renews an old partnership. Sega has announced a publishing agreement with the legendary Japanese developer Chunsoft. Under the agreement, Sega will act as the Japanese publisher for all Chunsoft games.
Several titles for PSP, DS, and PS2 where revealed alongside the deal. Kamaitachi no Yoru 2: Kangokushima no Warabe Uta -- PSP Special Edition and Machi: Unmei no Kousaten -- PSP Special Edition where both revealed for the PSP, while PS2 got a new entry in the Kamaitachi no Yoru series, and the DS got the tentatively titled Fushigi no Dungeon Fuurai no Shiren DS. The DS and PS2 titles are both expected to go gold sometime in 2006. However, do not expect a US release for any of these games. Chunsoft games are rarely released outside of Japan.
This is not the first time Sega has published Chunsoft games. Sega published Machi for the Sega Saturn back in 1998, as well as Fushigi no Dungeon Fuurai no Shiren Densetsu for the Dreamcast in 2002.
